This drama is a gripping account of U.S. Navy Cmdr. James Stockdale's (James Woods) eight-year stint as a prisoner of North Vietnam in such infamous camps as the "Hanoi Hilton," where the indomitable Stockdale continually resists attempts to break his spirit. Back home, Stockdale's wife, Sybil (Jane Alexander), marshals the efforts of other POWs' wives to tell the world of their husbands' brutal treatment at the hands of the enemy.
