While searching for his mother amid the carnage of the Spanish Civil War, an inexperienced teenager (Juan Diego Botto) receives a sexual education from a string of older women (including Faye Dunaway and Joanna Pacula). Along the way, he's captured by both Republican and fascist soldiers -- but he's so busy learning that he hardly seems to notice. This coming-of-age drama is adapted from the best-selling novel by Stephen Vizinczey.
