Young French writer Alex Fayard (Benoît Magimel) scores a major triumph with his crime novel styled after the work of his literary hero, Japanese author Shundai Oe. But while on a book tour in Japan, Fayard suspects he's being stalked by his jealous idol. Along the way, he falls for a gorgeous and mysterious geisha (Lika Minamoto) who claims to be an ex-love of Oe's. Barbet Schroeder directed this engrossing thriller.
