Genteel Chief Inspector Roderick Alleyn (Patrick Malahide) returns in this collection of four whodunits based on Ngaio Marsh's mystery books. In "Dead Water," the Scotland Yard detective interrupts his vacation to help a friend, and in "Scales of Justice," Alleyn solves a World War I hero's murder. In "Hand in Glove," Alleyn cleans up a messy homicide in Chalfont Green, and in "Death in a White Tie," he investigates a charming lord's demise.
