The ever-acerbic Oxford-educated Inspector Morse (John Thaw) applies his unique brand of criminology -- which seldom impresses his bosses -- to another installment of the long-running BBC series based on the novels of Colin Dexter. In this episode, Morse and his sidekick, Sgt. Lewis (Kevin Whately), must sort through a tangled web of intrigue when the body of a young insurance clerk is found in a parking lot near a pub.
