Despite being deaf and mute, Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade) is determined to make the prestigious Indian cricket team. Drawing on his natural talent, he practices day and night, helped by local coach Guruji (Girish Karnad). But eventually, Iqbal discovers a new mentor. Known now by most as the town drunk, Mohit (Naseeruddin Shah) was once a professional cricket player -- and as he shares his insider know-how with Iqbal, the two form a unique bond.
