Bloated Hollywood egos and 1980s excess are personified in director Charles Shyer's industry-mocking yet heartfelt comedy starring Drew Barrymore as 10-year-old Casey Brodsky, who pursues a divorce from her famous, self-absorbed screenwriter parents. Ryan O'Neal and Shelley Long play Barrymore's oblivious, career-conscious mom and dad, whose escalating feud leaves their neglected daughter caught between them.
