In the 1940s, Buffalo Bob Smith created a wooden puppet called Howdy Doody. A TV show featuring the charming puppet was subsequently born and became such a hit that it broke many records in television history. Long thought to be missing and finally excavated from the vaults, the episodes collected here are taken from a run of the show in the 1970s. Howdy and Buffalo Bob are joined by Clarabell the clown and other colorful supporting characters.
