When the police chief in a small Polish town must prepare for an important exam, the villagers agree among themselves to support his studies by being model citizens -- no drunkenness or fighting. But how long will they be able to keep their promise? Director Tadeusz Chmielewski's delightful comedy from the Soviet era stars Józef Nowak, Malgorzata Pritulak and Tadeusz Fijewski.
