Kenny Delmar brings his popular radio character Beauregard Claghorn to the big screen in this Southern-fried farce. In need of cash, Claghorn's wife, Magnolia (Una Merkel), decides to run for state senate as one of the "Daughters of Dixie." When some shifty politicos from north of the Mason-Dixon Line recruit Beau to run against his wife, it's up to Magnolia to save her gullible husband -- by arranging his kidnapping! June Lockhart co-stars.
