Wilfred of Ivanhoe (Robert Taylor) challenges the corrupt Norman monarchy of Prince John (Guy Rolfe) and his minions, De Bois-Guilbert (George Sanders) and De Bracy (Robert Douglas) -- with the victor gaining a kingdom and the losers subjected to death. Isaac of York (Felix Aylmer) and his ravishing daughter, Rebecca (Elizabeth Taylor), help Ivanhoe with his mission. Richard Thorpe directs this 1953 Oscar nominee for Best Picture.
