Director Robert Young brings Charlotte Bronté's classic novel to life in this adaptation that originally aired on the A&E Network. After a troubled childhood, Jane Eyre (Samantha Morton) becomes a governess at Thornfield Hall, caring for young Adele (Timia Berthome). Jane finds herself drawn to the brooding head of the estate, Edward Rochester (Ciaran Hinds), but her fears and Rochester's inner torment compromise their potential romance.
