Wade Hampton (Drew Pillsbury) feels trapped by responsibility and misunderstood by those closest to him. After spending 15 years on a factory assembly line with a hated boss and the incessant grind of machinery, Hampton has had enough. Setting out to Jerome, Arizona, to fulfill his dream of becoming an artist, Hampton meets Jane (Wendie Malick), a drifter who's as free as Wade has always craved to be.
