In the first Bollywood feature shot in Technicolor, Neela (Sandhya) is a young dancer who yearns to be taught by the best, the Guru (Keshavrao Date). When the Guru and his dancing son Girdhar (Gopi Kishen) move into Neela's home to train full time, Neela and Girdhar find themselves falling in love -- to the dismay of both the Guru and Neela's jealous benefactor (Madan Puri). Will the pair fight for their love?
