When Vijay (Dharmendra) is killed on the way home from his honeymoon, his bride, Alka (Rekha), can't break the news to his two children. To soften the blow, she hires a shady Vijay look-alike (also Dharmendra) to impersonate her husband and then alienate the children. Alka's plan nearly works -- that is, until she receives a phone call informing her that the children have been abducted and that the kidnappers expect a large ransom.
