Marital relations between Stewart Kane (Gabriel Byrne) and his wife, Claire (Laura Linney), begin to crumble after Stewart finds a corpse on a fishing excursion with his friends but waits to alert the authorities until the trip is over. When a horrified Claire learns about Stewart's callous delay, she attempts to atone for her husband's actions. This pensive drama from Aussie director Ray Lawrence is based on a short story by Raymond Carver.
