A simple country boy (Raj Kapoor) on a holy pilgrimage is drawn into a showdown between members of an outlaw gang and the police officers pursuing them. As the boy attempts to disarm the gang, he goes up against the group's factional lieutenant -- and discovers his burning attraction for the gang leader's daughter. This classic Bollywood epic features the well-known song "Hoton pe Sachcha Rehti Hai."
