John John in the Sky

In this family drama, John John, a 10-year-old boy with a fascination for airplanes, enlists the help of a friend to build a plane so he can fulfill his dream of taking his mother far away from his abusive father. Just before the plane is complete, his mother decides to leave anyway and takes John John with her to California. Years later, John John returns to his hometown to see what became of his friend and his father. Randy Travis co-stars.
