José Carreras, the brilliant tenor and philanthropist, stars in this benefit gala held at London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Supported by royal patrons, Carreras performs a variety of appealing songs, from opera to popular selections. Joining Carreras for the glamorous evening are soprano Katia Ricciarelli, mezzo-soprano Agnes Baltsa and bass Ruggero Raimondi, with conductor Jacques Delacôte leading the London Arts Orchestra.
