Lee Lai Yinn (Tsai Chin) travels to America from her native China so she can celebrate her 70th birthday with her two daughters. But as with many families, the reunion inevitably turns out bittersweet, considering they've all drifted apart due to physical distance and long-buried emotional scars. Lee Lai's one wish is to forge a lasting peace among them and create memories that can soothe their wounded psyches. Will she get what she wants?
