This 1970 adaptation stars Charlton Heston as Mark Antony, the loyal apprentice of Emperor Julius Caesar (John Gielgud), who's deceived and murdered by Brutus (Jason Robards), Cassius (Richard Johnson) and other power-hungry Roman officials. Driven out of Rome, the betrayers vow to destroy Mark Antony, who fights for Caesar and the future of the empire at all costs.
