Square-peg prodigy Junior Brown (Martin Villafana) has a passion for the piano, but it seems nobody wants to listen. First, his mother (Lynn Whitfield) -- tired of his nonstop practice -- puts the family ivories off limits. Then, his quirky piano teacher (Margot Kidder) only lets Junior play on her dining room table. Can his misfit pals Buddy (Rainbow Sun Francks) and Butter (Sarah Polley) give Junior the confidence he needs to make music?
