On the eve of his wedding, Prof. Isaac Alder (Timothy Hutton) climbs into a taxicab, unaware that his life is about to change. The cab collides with another taxi carrying a beautiful married woman named Aurora (Maria Grazia Cucinotta). Isaac and Aurora's chance meeting ignites a powerful and immediate attraction, proving that sometimes true love arrives in the strangest ways.
