A chance meeting brings Suresh (Vikram) and Kausalya (Priyanka Trivedi) together. But before they can marry, Suresh must gain the approval of Kausalya's stern father, Chidambaram (Prakashraj). Somehow, Suresh is always on the man's bad side, and it'll take a lot of persuasion for the young lovers to convince Chidambaram that they're worthy of his blessing. M.N. Nambiar co-stars as Kausalya's wise grandfather.
