Dev Anand turns in a Filmfare Award-winning performance as a son in pursuit of justice. Karan (Anand) was told long ago that his father was dead -- but he's actually behind bars, serving a life sentence for the murder of a courtesan. Upon further investigation, the truth comes out, and Karan learns his father has been framed. But is the help of a beautiful reporter (Madhubala) and a key witness (Nalini Jaywant) enough to prove his innocence?
