In this offbeat anime series, Karin is the eldest daughter of a family of vampires living a quiet life in Japan, but unlike her blood-sucking relatives, she has a surplus of blood that allows her to attend school during the day like any other teen. But school presents its own problems, most of which come from a couple of transfer students. As Karin tries to keep her true nature a secret, she falls in love with a boy who endangers her life.
