Frank Scheffer's film captures Karlheinz Stockhausen's innovative musical event premiering at the 1995 Holland Festival, where the Arditti Quartet string quartet plays in four different helicopters flying above Amsterdam. This film also features rehearsals for the intricate performance, as well as Stockhausen discussing how he conceived the concept and the connections between his composition, birds in flight and the sounds of helicopters.
