The wily James Kavanagh (John Thaw) may be a brilliant barrister, but that doesn't prevent his personal life from being every bit as complicated as those of his clients in this outstanding British TV series. In these three episodes, Kavanagh represents a young man accused of killing a Patriotic Front protester, takes on an international drug smuggling ring and goes up against a longtime friend in defending an arson suspect.
