After serving time for his wife's murder, recently paroled con Joey One-Way (Gil Bellows) is hired by film producer Markie Mann (Esai Morales) to adapt the play he wrote while in prison. But Joey risks this second chance for redemption when he falls for Mann's wife, Fleur (Lisa Ray). Irresistibly attracted to Fleur -- and the ready abundance of heroin in show business -- Joey finds his thirst for violence threatening to return.
