When it comes to getting the girl, newsboy Jerry Flynn (Lew Ayres) doesn't have a chance against the flash and cash of gangster Wire Arno (Victor Varconi), who woos away Jerry's girlfriend, the lovely (but poor) Mary Stephens (Helen Mack). Determined to win back his ladylove, Jerry turns his tiny newsstand into a major distribution center and sets out to destroy his corrupt rival -- but will he become corrupt in the process?
