Imagining the events that inspired Jack London to write "White Fang," "The Call of the Wild" and other classic stories, this fictional drama follows the young American author (Jeff East) on his adventures during the Klondike gold rush, in which he butts heads with a cruel ex-clergyman named Soapy Smith (Rod Steiger) and makes friends with a furry sled dog. The star-studded supporting cast includes Lloyd Bridges, Lorne Greene and Angie Dickinson.
