Three years after fleeing with his family to the safety of Montreal after the outbreak of war in Algeria, Ahmed is working an honest job laying asphalt and has a new baby on the way -- and the family is about to obtain Canadian citizenship. But when Ahmed learns that his 19-year-old son is involved with the group of militant activists who have sabotaged the local immigration office, he'll have to find the errant teen before the police do.
