This black-and-white televised version of a live 1956 performance of Vincenzo Bellini's classic opera stars soprano Anna Moffo in one of her earliest stage appearances, singing the role of Amina. Set in a Swiss village inn in the early 19th century, the production also features Plinio Clabassi, Anna Maria Anelli, Danilo Vega and Gianna Galli. Bruno Bartoletti conducts the Orchestra e Coro di Milano della Televisione Italiana.
