In this distaff riff on the Three Musketeers tale, Valentine (Susie Amy), the daughter of famed musketeer D'Artagnan (Michael York), longs to become a daring French swashbuckler just like her father, turning her back on the social constructs imposed on the women of the day. She proves her fearlessness and is finally asked by the king to save the future queen, who's being held for ransom. Nastassja Kinski and Gerard Depardieu co-star.
