La Habanera

Detlef Sierck, aka filmmaker Douglas Sirk, is the mastermind behind this drama about a Swedish woman (Zarah Leander) who falls in love with a member of Puerto Rico's upper class. The bloom is soon off the rose, though, after she gives birth to their baby -- and when an old lover resurfaces, she begins to question her loyalty and commitment to the father of her child.
