Roger (Olivier Gourmet) hires illegal immigrants to work for his construction company, holding their fate in his hands while refusing to pay a living wage. When an accident threatens to expose him, Roger involves his 15-year-old son, Igor (Jérémie Renier), in a web of deceit. Eventually, Igor must choose between loyalty to his father and the promise he made to take care of a young widow (Assita Ouedraogo).
