Raju (Anil Kapoor), who lives with and cares for his disabled mother (Farida Jalal), desperately needs a job. One day he saves the life of the wealthy owner of a textile factory (Anupam Kher), who offers Raju employment under the management of his daughter Sheetal (SriDevi). Raju falls in love with fellow worker Kajol (Raveena Tandon), while his new boss falls in love with him. Now, he must choose between true love and financial stability.
