American surfer Laird Hamilton (adoptive son of surf legend Bill Hamilton) is the star of this indie documentary that tells the real story behind his jaw-dropping ride on the heaviest wave ever ridden at Teahupoo. With backing music by Moby, Ben Harper, Bender and Robert Anthony Aviles, the film also tracks Hamilton's early career and explains how he quickly became one of the most famous wave riders in the world.
