When Billy (Troy Garity) runs afoul of a local drug dealer, he is forced to return home to seek help from a woman he hasn't spoken to in a year: his mother (Sissy Spacek). As they try to rebuild their relationship, they must come to terms with the tragedy that drove them apart.
