The Rev. Michael Lamb (Liam Neeson), a priest who teaches at an Irish school for troubled youth, finds himself drawn to protect Owen Kane (Hugh O'Conor), a boy with epilepsy and problems with authority. When Lamb's father dies, he decides to use his inheritance to take Owen away from his awful home life and the unpleasant head of the school in this film based on the Bernard McLaverty novel and with a score by Van Morrison.
