Handsome black doctor Khanyiso Phalo (Hlomla Dandala) returns to his native South Africa in 1913, where he meets Margaret (Nina Lucy Wylde), a beautiful white English woman, and before long, a romance blossoms. But their love makes them targets of outraged settlers and soldiers. The sweeping historical tale of star-crossed love is based on the Perceval Gibbon's novel Margaret Harding.
