This drama directed by Bruce Beresford stars Sharon Stone as Cindy Liggett, a Southern woman on death row (for the murder of her two classmates) who gets one more chance at justice. Her appeals have been rejected and her hopes diminished, until a lawyer (Rob Morrow) assigned by the clemency board decides to take one more shot at obtaining a stay of execution. Can he pull it off? More important, can he persuade Cindy that there's reason to hope?
