In this darkly comic thriller, years of fruitless job interviews drive downsized executive Bruno Davert (José Garcia) to desperation as he devises a new job-hunting strategy: He'll simply eliminate the competition. Meanwhile, his unwitting wife, Marlène (Karin Viard), tries to salvage their increasingly troubled marriage. Ulrich Tukur stars as one of Davert's doomed rivals in director Costa-Gavras's adaptation of Donald E. Westlake's novel The Ax.
