An actress (Gina Gershon) accused of murder hires a celebrity attorney (James Garner) to defend her. He, in turn, hires a media-friendly face (Edward Kerr) to pose as his front man. When the truth leaks out, the inexperienced lawyer becomes the eye in a media circus storm and must decide whether or not telling the truth is his best defense.
