During the Jazz Age, soundies (short film subjects) were made of many of the leading bands and orchestras. Shown in small coin-operated machines located in bars and restaurants, soundies were often the only way fans could watch their heroes perform. This unique collection contains soundies of Nat "King" Cole, Cab Calloway, Fats Waller, The Mills Brothers and The Count Basie Orchestra.
