Suffering from a paralyzing case of writer's block and lack of inspiration, womanizing author Jerome (Maurice Ronet) hires a gorgeous new secretary named Clara (Brigitte Bardot), hoping that the mere presence of the beautiful ingénue will revitalize his creative juices. But when Jerome bears witness to Clara's captivating lack of inhibition and unbridled sexuality, it soon becomes clear that it's the underling, not the boss, who has the upper hand.
