A group of militant, animal-rights protesters attempts to free potential "experiments" from a research facility but gets spooked when they trip an alarm. Worse, one of the activists (Ross McCall) gets left behind and takes the rap. A year later, an encrypted message arrives at the disbanded group's Web site, exhorting them to gather again at the lab. Bad idea, because what awaits is an evil they can barely comprehend much less fight.
