Ray (Steve Coogan) runs a thriving alibi service for adulterous husbands. But when one of his clients accidentally kills his mistress, Ray is implicated in the murder, forcing him to seek help from a new hire named Lola (Rebecca Romijn). With both a local cop (Debi Mazar) and an enigmatic assassin known as "the Mormon" (Sam Elliott) pursuing him, Ray tries to pull a con to clear his name. James Brolin and John Leguizamo co-star.
