Lightning Over Water

This touching documentary records the last days of Rebel Without a Cause director Nicholas Ray, who was gradually dying of cancer. As his life winds down, Ray looks back on his many career achievements (as well as his failures) and includes his thoughts on the work he did with screen legends Joan Crawford and James Dean. This film was shot primarily in Ray's small New York apartment, which offers a distinct contrast to his once-lavish lifestyle.
