Lilian's Story

After 40 years in a mental hospital, 60-year-old Lilian Singer (Australian stage star Ruth Cracknell) returns home to her father and brother (both played by Barry Otto); there, through flashbacks, we learn her sad story. This Australian drama is based on a fictionalized account of the life of Sydney street eccentric Bea Miles. The flashback scenes feature the now-famous Toni Collette in an early screen role as the young Lilian.
